The American History
Question: Explain The American History. Answer: American history: Counter culture movements 1960 The entire decade of 60s were basically about recognition and with the war expanding beyond the perimeter drawn and lies getting exposed from the Government people automatically withdrew the trust they had and which marked the legitimacy of public authority. Students for a Democratic Society (1960) The movement was started in Michigan University in 1960 was basically organizational base for the left movement in America. Students neo left movement was definitive as for the first time the students came out strongly against the expansionism of American Forces. Inclusion of this timeline is essential to highlight the unity amongst educated mass. Hippies (1965) Started in 1965 the movement was again considered as an urban phenomenon. The entire classification was considered as middle class white movement. The timeline is essential to show the gay attitude the educated middle class showcased with this movement. Gay liberation (1966) The liberation movement led to the movement of free ideas of same se x marriage and the student homophile league was founded in 1966 at Columbus University known as the first gay student organization. The inclusion is necessary to showcase the hippies culture and related offshoot liberalism. Music (1960s) The popularity of British in the early 60s led to the development of Hippie music and also promoted the likes of Beatles. The inclusion is necessary to relate the new age liberalism and music of expression. Alternative media (1960s) The whole idea was to make the movement anti-establishment cultural phenomenon and this was started in 1960s from United States and slowly spread to entire western world. The opposition to official media and the naked truth about world scenario readied the educated mass for both cultural and right to information. Film (1964 1975) The decade that spanned from 1964 to 75 saw the advent of low budget no frill anti stereotype films which not only changed the way people looked at contemporary films but also started a movement of parallel film society. The films showcased the outrage people felt about the official gag and medium to express their angst. The above six counter culture decade incidents shows that people were against the odd idea of war, expansionism and lies that covered the deficit of Government in these areas. People came out against these deceits with Cultural Revolution and created, acted and made definitive points to drive home one single agenda that we be counted. The most significant influence were used for little attainable truth, some over-valued reasoning, changing the old order with new order as the social order seem to work at disadvantage. The counter culture main emphasis on experiences and lots of intuitive power guided them for action and also push the modern times into past and finally lay the ground work for post-modern objectives. The times magazine in 1967 covered the Hippies and made sure the society understood the motto of these countercultural movements which revolved around do your own thing, leave the society as you have known it and blow out the mind of all sane and straight people, if not to drugs then to beauty, love and honesty and fun. Contrary the later day judgement the 60s counter culture was not concocted by conspirators. The entire media, the film that ran parallel cultural ideas through theatres propagating the main idea of act against Government by cultural upheaval and make one counted amongst the society. These acts were created and established with mass movement mainly to drive home a single point agenda of raising voice against the actions of Government. These counter culture emergence in 1960s gave a single point idea of whether or not these were inevitable and whether the continuous backlash against the counter culture lead to creation of new counter culture or is it the same system in a new insignia.
